Laredo, Texas – The City of Laredo and Mayor Dr. Victor D. Treviño proudly invite the community and members of the media to kick off National Community Development Week with an official proclamation ceremony on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
National Community Development Week, observed from April 6th through the 10th, 2026, is a time to recognize the impact of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs, which continue to strengthen neighborhoods and improve the quality of life for residents across Laredo. Through these programs, the City has supported vital initiatives addressing housing, infrastructure, and community development needs.
This year’s celebration will once again bring together residents, local leaders, program partners, and stakeholders to highlight the importance of continued investment in our community and to showcase the positive outcomes made possible through these programs.
The City of Laredo takes great pride in celebrating National Community Development Week and welcomes the community to take part in a series of special events designed to inform, engage, and uplift our residents.
